The ostensible subject of this film by American journalist Michael Benson is NSK (Neue Slowenische Kunst, or New Slovenian Art), an aesthetic movement that is both a state of mind and a self-declared “stateless territory. ” NSK, which we in the West might describe as a collective of conceptual artists, issues its own passports and has its own embassy in Moscow.
